摘要
The paper is focused on the results of fatigue properties and fractographic analysis of the steel S1100QL welded joints. The studies were carried out on the samples, which were welded using laser beam and electric arc. Tests were conducted under variable levels of total strain amplitude Delta epsilon(ac) and stable value of cycle asymmetry ratio R. The results show that welding technique greatly influences the fatigue properties and nature of fracture. The place of crack initiation in laser welds depends rather on the structural factors than stress concentration.
