Thinking on Teaching of Practice of Park Design

Practical Training of Park Planning & Design is one course of students majoring in landscape architecture. This paper first analyzes this course's position in the Outline of Landscape Architecture major and the characteristics of framework; introduces design tasks detailedly, then sums up students' problems on attitudes, methods and techniques during the teaching process. And find that the students hoping to move forward linearly in attitude, neglecting design criterion, analysis of surroundings, vertical design, vegetation design and insisting on their own proposal in design methods. Finally the paper proposes that the focus of practical training should be two aspects, namely the basic processes and methods, and clear and effective expression.
