The politics - a tool for creation of a new nation: "the moldovan civic nation"

The historical sources are proving that in the middle of XVIIIth century in Moldavia the sense of immateriality of Moldovans to the Romanian nation was quite developed. Subsequently, the great empires of that times, the Ottoman, the Russian, and then USSR have promoted the divide et impera" strategy, according to which the existence of different nations in Moldova and Wallachia it was real. The aftermaths of this policy are now felt by the Republic of Moldova, the identity problem, along with the Transnistrian issue, is one of the main problems of its' society. The solution of the identity crisis is seen in the creation of the civic nation, the Moldovan civic nation. But the creation of the Moldovan civic nation is purely a political issue and could be solved just in case of a compromise made by Russian-speaking population, or in case of solidarity against someone. The Moldovan civic nation, as a social, economic, cultural, political, etc. unity of all the nations from the Republic of Moldova, just like in the times - the Soviet people - is nothing but an illusion.
