Geohazards of the Danube region in Slovakia

摘要：

The Slovak part of Danube region (> 7000 km(2)) comprises mainly lowland and hilly relief. The region is dominantly built of Quaternary sediments of various genetic types as well as Neogene molasse sediments. The selection of the relevant natural and anthropogenic hazards, sources of information and means of evaluation and delineation of the hazards in the Environmental hazards map at a scale of 1:100 000 are described in this paper. This map is one of a set of geological, hydrogeological, engineering geological and geophysical maps and studies which have been prepared within the framework of the International Danreg Programme (Slovakia, Hungary and Austria).
