摘要
An innovative IHX-combined steam generator (ICSG) concept was proposed for application in a Generation IV sodium-cooled fast reactor. The feasibility in terms of mechanical design was investigated through high-temperature integrity evaluation of the ICSG design. A novel configuration with M-shaped serpentine tubes was adopted for the ICSG (S-ICSG) through thermal-hydraulic design, and integrity evaluation was conducted. Because this component operates at a high temperature in the creep range, elevated temperature design evaluations were conducted according to the French high-temperature design rule of RCC-MRx based on 3D finite element temperature and stress analysis. All relevant requirements in RCC-MRx were satisfied and the new innovative ICSG design with serpentine tubes was feasible from viewpoint of mechanical design.
