Applications and properties are provided for smelted high-alumina materials, and calcium- and magnesium-aluminate compositions obtained by NPO VostIO-Ural from Klyuchevsk Ferroalloy Plant. Chemical composition, physical, and mechanical properties of the melted alumina product (MAP) are provided. Results are provided for a study of the abrasion and dynamic strength of MAP-30 and MAP-50 specimens, and photographs of chips from massive samples of MAP-30 and MAP-50 binding materials, as well as SAP-30B concrete from the industrial site of NPO VostIO-Ural. Diffraction patterns of samples MAP-30, MAP-50 and concrete MAP-30B are presented. A waterproof screen in the form of a geomembrane is proposed as a substrate for short-term storage of refractory materials.
