摘要
In order to investigate novel approaches to the design of polymer matrix composite-based orthopaedic implants, a macro-mechanical characterization of two different injection moulded CFR PEEK materials has been performed. Results have been compared to a theoretical prediction of the composite mechanical properties, after having assessed the resulting composite typology of the realized specimens. The preparation of a stiffness tensor matrix for a failure criteria implant design approach was possible.
