Analytical solution for stress and pore pressure distribution in a cross-an isotropic and multi-layer seabed

The wave-induced response of a porous medium plays a very important role in design of several marine structures such as buried pipelines, offshore and near-shore structures. In general, two kinds of approaches have been used to determine the response of a porous medium to wave loading, uncoupled and coupled analysis. In this paper, a new analytical solution for the coupled equations of wave-induced pore pressure and effective stresses distribution in a multi-layered and cross- anisotropic seabed with a finite thickness has been proposed.
