摘要
Personal strivings and subjective psychological well-being in university students. Theories about subjective psychological well-being (SWB) haven't explained which variables cause SWB and which are consequences. It is not already solved if SWB is the sum of having had a lot of "Happy moments" in the course of life. On contrary, other theories say that domain satisfaction could be taken as evidence for a top-down model, resulting in SWB perception in life domains. Domain satisfaction could be just a spin-off from overall levels of satsifaction. Other researchers point out that personal strivings categories are linked to SWB. Goals: Explore the relationship between SWB in life domains and current and prospective personal goals achievement status. Subjects: 217 university students (21,9% male y 77,2% female). Instruments: a) Life Domain Satisfaction Scale (Delight-Terrible Scale), Andrews y Withey (1976), modified version. B) Personal Goals Scale. Results: Psychological well-being and general quality of life are the factors more related to current personal goals achievement, al least in University students. The more psychological health, the more current and prospective personal goals achievement. Psychological and physical health are the domains more related with SWB as a whole. SWB with friends and SWB with physical health predict the current personal goal achievement. SWB with friends predict prospective personal goal achievement.
