ZOOS AND WILD ANIMAL RIGHTS

In this work, I present a critical review of the zoological institution analyzing its history and the environmental ideas that support their existence and justification. Moreover, I argue why zoos harm the non-human that are kept in captivity. To justify this position, I present a definition of zoo captivity and why it is specifically deleterious for wild animals. Finally, I address the animal welfare standards to contrast them with Donaldson and Kymlicka's theory.
