THE BODY IN THE POETRY OF TADEUSZ ROZEWICZ

The article analyzes several aspects of the motif of the body in the poetry of the Polish poet Tadeusz Rozewicz. In his poetry, the body is a stage for the mind, as well as a contact zone with the world that it inhabits and with which it establishes a relation of mutual legitimation. The body becomes a metaphor for different facets of human existence: from the reduction of human beings to flesh, to the reign of the body over the psyche, outlining the concept of the body that is not just the function of the mind, but in turn becomes itsels a huge mind, which bears the core of identity to the body that is seen as an agent which simultaneously produces meanings in a physical and symbolic sense.
