On the linearity of linear variable differential transformer

摘要
The problem of linearity existed in 2-section type of linear variable differential transformer (LVDT) is analyzed qualitatively in detail and an improved one, named as Dual-cone LVDT is proposed here to solve this problem. Analysis shows that its linearity is much improved and its measuring range is enlarged accordingly.
