Corrosion of steels and alloys in sodium chloride solutions

Study of corrosive processes intensity for some steels and alloys in sodium chloride solutions has a practical importance, considering that during winter, for snow clearing are often used mixtures of sand and salt and in the summer time, for aerosols quantities reduction from the atmosphere, there are used solutions for street sprinkling, which contain also important amounts of NaCl. In this paper, we present a study regarding the corrosion of four types of metallic materials in sodium chloride solutions of different concentrations, by gravimetric corrosion tests.
