Lining the top of a cyclone with free-flowing castable refractory in the Gmunden cement works

摘要：

The two tops of the lowest cyclone stage in the raw meal preheater in the Gmunden cement works of Hans Hatschek AG in Austria were lined with a free-flowing castable refractory in February 1996. The reason, for this unconventional type of lining was the restricted access to the cyclone tops. Alkali attack was to be expected so a low-cement Al2O3 castable with added SEC was used, and a total of 26 tonnes of COMPAC FLO(R) free-flowing castable were placed. The refractory lining teas found to be in. very good condition during an, interim inspection after 7 months.
