摘要
The effects of global sourcing on the IT workers and the US economy are discussed. Global production and sourcing have reduced the price of IT hardware, which has encouraged disproportionately greater investment in IT throughout the overall US economy. The Increase in IT investment throughout the US economy has increased the demand for IT workers. For the US economy overall, the Widespread use of IT associated transformation of business activities translates into faster productivity growth. The diffusion of IT into various sectors, including health services and small and medium size enterprises (SME), is going to be a key source of the gains to capital investment, jobs and productivity.
