摘要
Among the most promising applications of the interactive Digital TV (iDTV) are the ones that enable TV-Sets to work as the central processing unit of a house. This is supported by the extending of iDTV functionalities, taking into account its computer platform not only for execution of interactive applications, but also for managing of services of electronics devices in smart homes, like a home gateway. In this context, this paper discusses the convergence between iDTV and Home Network at software level. We show some models that make convergence between the MHP middle-ware and the OSGi framework. After that, we identify the most relevant features for our country in order to propose a new collaboration model supported by OSGi and the Brazilian middleware (Ginga). The design of software elements of the model is presented, modifying as little as possible the core components of the two platforms and exploring the new Ginga capabilities, related both to the procedural (Ginga-J GEM compliant) and declarative (Ginga-NCL) environments, creating and validating new scenarios on this model.
