摘要：

Based on sustainable development theory and social benefit, the definition of economic sustainable development is proposed. Principal component analysis is applied in the empirical evaluation study on economic sustainable development of ten east provinces and cities, and evaluation indexes system of economic sustainable development has been established including 15 indexes. The economic sustainable development capacities of ten east regions including Shanghai are analyzed respectively. It is concluded that the economic sustainable development level of shanghai is the best and prove that principal component analysis is a feasible and effective method. This work can provide theory support for evaluation study on economic sustainable development.
