Numerical calculations of elastic wave propagation in anisotropic thin films deposited on substrates

摘要
In this work, we present a generalized numerical model to study the dispersion curves of elastic waves in anisotropic thin layer/substrate systems. Dispersion curves as a function of wave frequency for different propagation angles are calculated. The nature of the mode (Rayleigh or Love) is identified by analyzing the polarization of the three-dimensional displacement field. This numerical model has been applied to the system Au(001)/Ni(001).
