摘要
Coverage is a fundamental issue in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Degree of coverage is often used as a measurement of the quality of service (QoS) of WSNs. In this paper, we consider two problems: coverage evaluation and deployment. The former aims to evaluate the coverage degree of the monitored area, while the latter aims to deploy new sensors inside the monitored area to meet the application requirements without affecting the initial deployment. For the k-perimeter coverage evaluation problem, a k-perimeter coverage evaluation scheme (k-PCE) is proposed. Based on our k-perimeter coverage evaluation scheme, a greedy k-perimeter coverage rate deployment scheme (k-PCRD) is proposed, while is shown that the time complexity is lower than existing studies. Simulation shows the superiority of the proposed algorithms.
