摘要
It is necessary to transmit the digital CCD aerial image to the ground in real-time. The digital CCD aerial images possess the high resolution and high data rate, so the finite channel capability is the limit of real-time image transmission. Compressing images before transmission in plane is a feasible way. We analyzed the characteristic of aerial images, wireless transmission, channel, and the several potential image compression algorithms (such as JPEG and SPIHT and JPEG2000). And then authors choose the compress algorithm based on JPEG2000, which can efficiently resist error. At last, the complete project based on high-speed DSP and FPGA is presented.
