摘要
In the field of cultural heritage, the digital technologies have provided countless possibilities not only to experience memories of what already existed or exists, but to transcend physical and geographic barriers. In this article, we present how this perspective materializes through the Transcodificacoes Urbanas project and unfolds in the current Transcodificacoes Virtuais e Patrimonio Digital project. We share reflections and practices that since 2011 have mobilized us to problematize and rethink a set of monuments, public artworks. In a break with the static in the contemplation of the passage of time, which makes them often naturalized and not even perceived by those who pass through public spaces, these monuments are virtualized, open to new codes, or, as we defend, are transcoded, or that is, they meet with other memories and knowledge networks. A work that, at the same time, does not do without research in various archives and also enriches itself with Digital Culture and the problematization of virtual and digital networks in interdisciplinary studies in Heritage Sciences, Cybermuseology, Arts and Technologies.
