Study on Performance Appraisal System of Commercial Banks in China

Performance appraisal of commercial banks is a long-time research subject, and it relates to the self-evaluation of commercial banks and the decision of social investors. Commercial bank has unique management function and structure of assets and liabilities, so the performance appraisal system of enterprise may not be suitable for the commercial bank. Therefore, based on the view of social investors, the paper establishes performance appraisal system which accords with the characteristics of commercial banks by selecting 9 representative commercial banks and the corresponding financial data. The paper used subsequence analysis method to construct the performance appraisal model of commercial and the performance evaluation results of the banks with the same competitiveness were compared, which makes the results clear and helps the investors to make decisions.
