The Advanced Construction of Facades. The Relations Between the Quality of Facades and the Quality of Buildings

The scope of the paper is the presentation of the results of quality analyses conducted by the author in several university buildings, of which two are intelligent. The analyses were focused on detecting the relations between the architectural solutions of facades and the performance of the building in practice. The studies included questionnaires and interviews with the users and facility managers. The results of the evaluation indicated that many problems, especially connected with the microclimate of the interiors, stem from the absence of advanced technologies in the facades of modern buildings.
