摘要
Quantum Cellular Automata (QCA) is one of the leading technologies in the electronics industry. Using this technology, low power consumption, small sizes, high density, and high-speed structures are achieved. Since flip-flops are one of the most important parts of digital circuits, designing a structure with a smaller size and delay and more facilities are of great importance. In this paper, novel edge-triggered D flip-flops with reset and set abilities are proposed in QCA technology using a suitable D-latch. The proposed works are optimized in terms of size and delay. Simulation results show that the proposed designs have a fewer number of cells and complexity, smaller area and less delay than similar circuits. The final proposed circuits have also set and reset abilities which rarely can be seen in previous designs. In addition, the proposed edge-triggered D flip-flops with set and reset abilities are designed in the coplanar method which facilitates the manufacturing process. (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd.
