Analysis of the Beta(2)Sigma(-)-Chi(2)Pi: System of the (CH)-C-13-H-1 molecule

The four (0-0, 0-1, 1-0 and 1-1) bands of the B-2 Sigma(-)-X(2) Pi system in the (CH)-C-13-H-1 isotopic radical have been obtained using conventional spectroscopy and a Geissler tube. The 0-1, 1-0 and 1-1 bands have been observed for the first time. The spectrum was photographed under high resolution and calibrated against Th lines. The reduction of the spectra of the individual bands has been performed via a nonlinear least-squares fit with the effective Hamiltonians of Brown. By using a merged calculation the rotational constants have been determined for both combining states and values of the origins for the analysed bands. For both states the following have also been determined: equilibrium constants, RKR potentials as well as Franck-Condon factors and r-centroids for the B-X system.
