摘要：

Fans and compressors are widely used in both industrial and commercial applications for moving air. Hence they are a main source of concern with respect to noise. This presentation considers the mechanisms for noise generation in fans. The current methods for measuring fan noise are given. Prediction methods for fan noise are presented. The relationships between predicted and site measured sound levels are given.
