Analysis of decomposition methods for classification of land-cover targets based on RISAT-1 Hybrid SAR images

摘要
The objective of this paper study delineates the m-delta and m-chi space decomposition methods to determine the behaviour of scattering mechanisms in terms of odd bounce, even bounce and volume component for detection of crops and other land cover targets over parts of Burdwan, West Bengal using hybrid SAR images of India's first microwave Radar Imaging Satellite-1 (RISAT-1). It is observed that volume component is similar in both the decompositions. However, this component is over-estimated as compared to odd and even bounce scattering mechanisms for all land cover targets. The supervised maximum likelihood classification has been performed in this paper.
