摘要：

We investigated outcome of pulmonary resection for patients aged 80 years or more. Fifteen patients with a mean age of 82 underwent pulmonary resection by standard thoracotomy (ST) and 25 patients with a mean age of 82 by VATS. Mortality within 3 months postoperation was 4 of all (10%). The presence of preoperative diseases, 55% or less of predicted postoperative (ppo) %FEV1.0, 700ml or more of blood loss, 5 hours or more of operation duration and 2 or more of postoperative complications were considered to be risk factors. The max. serum CPK U/L/M-2 as a parameter of chest damage was minor in VATS comparing to that in ST (p=0.004). Five year survival rate at stage I was 50.8% in VATS and 0 % in ST (p=0.01). VATS might offer extend indication of surgical treatment for aged patients.
