摘要
We investigate the possibility of modeling a low-pressure nonequilibrium turbulent plasma using a probability density function (pdf). Direct numerical simulation (DNS) is used to understand and to model these reactive hows. The pdf transport equation needs a closure for micromixing to capture diffusive and conductive mechanisms occurring at the small scales of the turbulence. A linear relaxation model is retained for micromixing in the case of a recombining plasma in agreement with the results from DNS.
