摘要
The presented paper describes an ongoing project aimed at the development of a pan-European environmental health indicators system. It should serve each individual member state, as well as supporting multinational analyses using comparable data and information. The system is being tested in 14 countries of the European region of WHO. The evaluation comprises data availability, quality, and usefulness of the indicators in monitoring policy progress to reduce EH (Environmental Health) impacts. The paper explores the main problems and challenges in setting indicator-based reporting and the need for methodological refinements to better address policy questions.
