摘要：
ESA Science Archives for ISO and XMM-Newton have been developed by the Science Operations and Data Systems Division in Villafranca, Spain. By using an open 3-tier architecture (Data Products and Database, Business Logic, User Interface) together with Java and XML technology, inter-operability has been achieved from these archives to external archives (NED/SIMBAD, ADS, IRAS). Furthermore, that has allowed external archives (CDS, ADS, IRSA, HEASARC) to directly access ISO and XMM-Newton data without going through their standard user interfaces.
