ANALYSIS OF BUSINESS EXPENDITURES ON RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC

摘要：
This paper provides an overview of Business Expenditures on R&D (BERD) collected from the Frascati Manual Surveys compiled with the database of firms' economic results (P5-01) carried out by the Czech Statistical Office. The role of R&D investments represented by knowledge accumulation is studied using panel data econometric estimates carried out on a subset of firms operating in processing industries. The early results confirm the hypothesis of the positive role of R&D expenditures on firms' sales.
