Sustainable Development and Planning: Endogenous Development

How to keep the good and sustainable development of regional social-economy and social-ecology is' a great worldwide concern. In Europe, the new viewpoint is that it is essential for regional sustainable development to mobilize the social resources and build up the collaborative networks within a region. On the basis of that, European counties have started the theoretical and empirical research of the endogenous development in succession. Applying the broad view of development, the article aims to introduce the brief social background of current thinking on endogenous development which emerged in Europe once again, as well as the present situation of theoretical development and its main points.
