Excellent Services for Digital Government Services of XYZ Department in Yogyakarta

The digital government service (DGS) has roles as a development accelerator of the province especially in Yogyakarta that has programs toward Jogja Cyber Province. The strategic services should be planned, developed, and managed with innovative processes and methods to ensure the continuity and quality of services provided that oriented to the public. This paper aimed at analyzing and making a recommendation of information technology/information system (IT/IS) on XYZ department in Yogyakarta special region. The research method employed in this paper is a qualitative descriptive that was using observation and interview to the authorized party in this department. It was also implemented a combination of strategic alignment model and excellent services based on an initiative category. The strategic alignment model is a framework to reduce a gap between both business and IT strategy. This paper has provided a recommendation of IT/IS applications that should be built and technology architecture that should be applied to this department.
