Cutaneous microcirculation in chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) using orthogonal polarization spectral imaging (Cytoscan)

摘要：

In order to identify morphological parameters in the cutaneous microcirculation of CVI patients, 55 limbs of 28 women, distributed according the CEAP classification were studied with Cytoscan. All the parameteres were observed in a circle area just above the maleollus. Compared with the control group, the number of glomerulus-like capillaries and the diameters of the dermal papilla and of the capillary limbs as well as the major diameter of the capillary loop increased as the disease progresses. The total capillary density decreased significantly at advanced stages of the disease. Our results showed that this method could be used to quantify the alterations of the microcirculation in CVI patients.
