摘要
Reinforced concrete rib arch bridges are widely applied in China, especially in mountain areas of southwest. There are 100 bridges of this type generally surveyed in this project for information on structure shape, cross section of arch ribs, construction method and service status. Based on investigation on site of 49 bridges with obvious deterioration of those 100 ones, characteristics and rules of deterioration are classified and summarized. Causes of deterioration are analyzed from design and construction aspects. In conclusion, management and maintenance procedures for existing RC rib arch bridges are proposed.
