摘要
Urbanization factor analysis is an important part of urban geography study. Matter-Element Evaluation Model provides us with another new quantitative method. We use the matter-element analysis theory to put forward the mathematical model of urbanization factors evaluation and apply it to the case of Henan province. By using this method to analyze the urbanization rate of Henan province, we find that the main factors are industrial added value, secondary industry added value, primary industrial added value, tertiary industry added value, per capita agricultural output, natural population growth rate, urban-rural income gap etc. This method is simple, flexible and reliable. It can be used as one of the means for quantitative analysis of urbanization factors.
