Numerical Investigation on Wet Steam in Manifolds of Direct Air Cooled Exhausted Duct in a 600MW Power Unit

摘要
The mathematic model for two-phase flow and heat transfer of wet steam in direct air cooled exhausted duct for the first 600MW power generating unit in China is constructed. Using the numerical heat transfer (NET) software called FLUENT, the exhausted steam condition under typical steam turbine modes is simulated. The flow field, temperature field and two-phase field of wet steam in 2-dimensional duct are analyzed. The simulating results show the pressure drop and flow distribution for steam manifolds are not equal. Detailed optimization and design on direct air cooled exhausted duct system should be carried out. It offers good help for the optimal design of air cooled exhausted duct system.
