摘要
Cam mechanisms widely used in many industrial areas, are one of the most popular devices for generating irregular motions. In order to manufacture of high precision cams, it is necessary to develop of a cam profile CNC grinding machine with a CAD/CAM system. The developed machine is composed of the spindle using high precision hall bearings, the high stiffness box layer type bed, the three axis CNC controller with the high resolution AC servo motor, and the developed CAD/CAM system. In this paper, structural and modal analysis for the developed machine is carried out to check the design criteria of the machine. The analysis is carried out by FEM simulation using the commercial software, CATIA V5. The machine is modeled with placing proper shell and solid finite elements. Besides, this paper presents the measurement system and experimental investigation on the modal analysis of a grinding machine. And moreover, the CAD/CAM system is developed for shape design of disk cams using relative velocity method and NC code generation applying the biarc curve interpolation. Also, a disk cam is successfully manufactured by the developed machine. with CAD/CAM system. This paper presents the designing methods for the cam profile CNC grinding machine with the CAD/CAM system.
