Analytical behavior of dielectric nonlinearity in PbMg1/3Nb2/3O3 relaxor ferroelectric

The nonlinear component of the dielectric permittivity, Deltaepsilonsimilar to' = epsilon'(E-AC) - epsilon'(0), and the absolute value of the third harmonic, \P-3\, in PbMg1/3Nb2/3O3 (PMN) single crystal along [111] axis were measured as a function of the ac electric field. Analysis of the data shows that dependence of both components of the dielectric response on the field can be described by power laws, Deltaepsilonsimilar to' proportional to E-AC(2) and \P-3\ proportional to E-AC(3). No Rayleigh-type nonanalytical behavior has been observed in contradiction with previous reports.
