Recently, research on nonequilibrium dynamics sparked a great amount of topics. One of particular concern is the dynamical quantum phase transition in quenched systems. In this work, we experimentally simulated the slow quenches in a quantum transverse-field Ising model crossing two quantum critical points. We studied the relationship between the appearance of the dynamical quantum phase transition and the quench rate, using the discontinuity of the dynamical topological order parameter (DTOP). In addition, an oscillation of the DTOP is also observed in our experiment. These results provide more insight into the topological aspect of the nonequilibrium dynamics.
