Man or literature? Levinas and the phenomenology of radical transcendence

Problematizing Levinas' writing and that of the phenomenology of radical transcendence (Heidegger, Marion, Derrida) leads to putting in the forefront the alternative between the humanism of the Levinassian 'other man' and Blanchot's approach both literary and inhuman, as it may be. The concept of piercing shriek--or shriek without anyone to be able to voice it--seems to solve such an alternative.
