摘要
Omira et al. (Pure and Applied Geophysics 172: 901-920, 2015) assess the probabilistic tsunami hazard in the NE Atlantic. While recognizing the importance of this type of study for the prioritization of risk mitigation measures, I take consider the issue with the way the results are estimated and presented. I argue that the communication of the hazard is flawed, the analysis suffered from compounded conservatism, and no estimate of the associated uncertainties is provided.
