摘要
This reflects that communication plays an important role for improving science and human development. As scientists need a communicative function of study performances and ideas, science education is responsible for making students, future citizen, possess this communication capacity. Scientific communication in this research is a competence for delivering, exchanging and sharing scientific explanation and opinion - fact, phenomena, cause - based on student's knowledge and background as various types. For measuring Scientific communication skills of elementary school students, 3 similar to 6 grade 330 students participated in the exam, scientific communication skills test(SCST) created by Jeon (2013). The analysis result, classifying students' scientific communication skills into two types - scientific explanation and opinion, and communication form into four types - letter, number, table, and figure by grades and genders, is following: Overall scientific communication is higher as grades, but a width of development is lower. The ability of types and forms is getting high as the upper grades. In ability types, scientific explanation presented obvious difference in grades than the other. In scientific communication forms, table form showed remarkable differences in grades, and there were not salient points in figure type. Female students have higher communication skill than male students, especially in scientific explanation, letter, and figure type.
