摘要
While most wireless power transfer (WPT) systems are designed for mobile application such as automotive or consumer electronics, there was no special focus on a lightweight design. In this paper losses of WPT coils are analyzed in detail with 2D FEM methods and the results lead to new design rules for WPT coils. In general more conductive material increases the weight and the electrical efficiency. But for WPT systems there is an optimal efficiency and increasing the amount of conductive material will decrease it.
