摘要
The evolution of scientific publishing from its origins to the most recent changes is analyzed, identifying trends and main problems. A specific analysis is made of the publication of Social Sciences journals in the Hispanic sphere and, more in depth, in Latin America, identifying the characteristics and profiles that define it as a differentiated group with its own characteristics and problems and with alternative proposals of great interest.
