摘要
The inclusion of people with disabilities in educational institutions is still very precarious, since not every institution, whether basic or higher, is prepared to receive this special student. The purpose of this article is to analyze the insertion of the deaf person into higher education, as well as to verify if this right guaranteed by law is being maintained. Despite the obligation of education for the deaf to have their rights guaranteed by law, the process of implementing this inclusive education is flawed, where there is a lack of training of professionals and institutions of higher education to receive the deaf student, despite the difficulties presented an increase in the admission of students with disabilities in higher education institutions, according to IDEP data. The research was conducted through analysis of documents, data provided by governmental, institutional, articles and books related to the process of education of people with disabilities in Brazil.
