Switched Reluctance Motor Speed Performance Simulation Study Based on Torque Ripple Suppression

摘要
This paper presents a novel speed control system with the torque ripple suppression based on torque observer. The switched reluctance motor drive system is hard to obtain good speed performance especially at low speed due to its critical nonlinearity. Relatively accurate mathematical model of the motor is difficult to establish. In the paper, a torque observer is designed to get the actual torque and the single neuron adaptive PI controller is designed to adjust the speed error. The sliding mode controller is designed to adjust the torque error. From the actual current which tracking the expected current, the torque ripple could be reduced to be small and the speed ripple could be small too. The simulation model has been set up to validate the proposed method. From the simulation results, it is known that the speed control by the torque ripple suppression has better speed performance.
