摘要
Medical emergencies are such that they can occur at any moment regardless of the situation or a person's age. Often the victims of curable medical conditions are the elderly who happen to be out and about without anybody to help. To tackle this we propose Neighbor Assisted Medical Emergency System (NAMES), which through the use of Arduino and Internet of Things (IoT), initiates a cost effective emergency response. NAMES is based around having registered volunteers who provide immediate medical care to those in need on the spot or take the responsibility to escalate the situation towards a hospital or a registered pharmacy for equipment when necessary. Furthermore we introduce a simulation model of NAMES in MATLAB based on experiment results to analyze the system performance using the theory of stochastic geometry. Performance evaluation in terms of outage probability reveals the effects of NAMES system on propagation environment. Our proposed system will incorporate IoT, mobile network, database etc to form a response system in case of emergency medical situation in Bangladesh.
