Study of the relationship between employment structure and higher education structure of Sichuan province

The university enrollment was increased in 1999. Since then, Chinese higher education has transformed from elite style into popular style. At the same time, the employment problem of undergraduate is coming out gradually. The social employment pressure is increasing year after year. Sichuan is with great market, abundant resources, strong science and technology force, good agriculture and industry basis, but the employment pressure of college students is still serious and the employment structure is complicated. As a significant western province, it is significant for Sichuan to learn how to construct a talent employment structure coordinated with social and economic development through institutions for higher learning. The paper quantitatively analyzes the change of the employment structure of Sichuan and the effect to the branch structure of institutions of higher education. Besides, it discusses the structure of institutions of higher education in Sichuan adjusts to the change of the employment structure.
